I did the batching with python but it really sucks to do it that way. And its maximum non flexible if you want to change a parameter. Thats the way i do the midi mapping in my Arduino Control-Change Arranger box: * not def - ;CC 000 QM Mod …

For me the message from Synthstrom is clear. Its not our goal to offer an instrument that works in a professional environment with high class midi-controler like LinnStrument, Novation Launch Control or Akai MIDImix. Instead we built a nice blinking…

Still no global midi-cc's only the 7 remote commands. There are hundreds of midi-controler out there and there are coming more and more. For live, for studio, for sending sound commands to different synths, beatboxes and mixing tables, to create cha…

Reverb sounds cheap, delay sounds great but it would help a lot if the delaytime could be set in 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 ... The distortion has a very dirty character but does its job the other effects also do a good job. Missing compression.

Missing Global Midi-Control Changes instead of Sound related Midi CCs. Lets call it Global Midilearning.

@jurgis said: I'm absolutely delighted with the power, versatility and playfulness of the Deluge (WOW!), but rather frustrated with the limitations concerning MIDI access to essential functions through external midi gear. Here are some key recomm…

No answer is still an answer.

@cypher79 said: It would be really useful if we could turn the <> knob to the left when first entering a sample folder, so that you can get to the samples at the back of the folder without having to scroll through hundreds of samples first.…

As there is no answer from Synthstrom my direct question to Ron. Are global CCs on the scedule for the next update? Cause if not i wouldn't lose any time and sell my Deluge. Its not possible to work with it in a mastercontrolled midi environment.
-
For becoming cult status LinnStrument ist not long enough open source, to become cult it needs some time. On the other side, everything in the Deluge is in a similar way programmed in other machines, the advantage of the Deluge is that they put it a…

Since the LinnStrument is Open Source (code on Github) i think it would be a great opportunity for the Deluge too - it could become cult status. The firmware is absolute genius, that's out of question, but sometimes users want to have unusual featur…

Thanx and happy new year!

Problem solved. I erased all 'midiKnob' messages in the song xml, then I let the Deluge learn from scratch, that works. Midi channel #0 is channel #1. Deluge works internally from 0-15.
-
The problem seems to be very tricky. When reloading the song it sometimes works fine and other times the Deluge has this midi-cc-alzheimer. The same when turning the machine off. A short OFF sometimes makes no problem while a longer OFF causes defin…

By the way. Why is in the song.xml a midichannel #0 defined?

I delete tracks by pressing one of the buttons of the track+Shift+Delete

Track mute by external midi would also help when working together with other hardware-sequencers. Then you can use one controller-box for all machines.
-
To be honest - the copy/paste methode is very uncomfortable, especially when you have to do lots of ups and downs. I recorded the realtime transposition into Logic and then played it back to the Deluge. 5 Minutes. It would be a very helpful featu…

That was the first I've tried. After pasting it back into the original track it wasn't anymore what I had copied.
-
It could be realized in the same way an arpeggiator is working but instead of arpeggiating, the rhythm track is triggering the notes of the destination track, in both ways noten-on and note-off. Wouldn't work with audio indeed.

Jumping "while playing" is the important thing for live performing. Thats not possible yet without getting nodes in your fingers.

@Icoustik said: @cypher79 You already can basically? Press Song button while in arranger, then press one of the dimmed mute/section buttons so they light up and Song view is activated. You havn't read my post. I exactly wrote this. But i…
-
@lcoutisc I know that the pads are dimmed to indicate that the song view is not active - but thats neither the problem nor an answer to my question. Why making it so complicate for live performing? Live needs as less klicks and actions as possible.…

I don't mean kit presets. Never tried that with kits.

The cc-assignments are stored indeed in both, songs and presets. To use all presets with one faderbox you have to copy the assignments manually into each preset. Its not such a big deal with SciTe or Notepad++. Ich realized a workaround with 10 Copi…

Today I took a look into the XML file of the sounds. No cc-assigments in there. Then I looked into the XML of the song where I did the assignments and found them there. So the XML is telling me that the assignments are stored within the songs. Great…

Maybe it is possible to make an open-source "light" by outsourcing tables and parameter lists via xml or play text? Then you could edit the tables and lists for own cc-assigments, own arpeggio-patterns or color-tables (f.e.).

In the 80th my first program on the Atari ST Computer was an arpeggiator. And the easiest way I found out to get impressive arpeggios is a simple arp-editor. For each of the xx notes you define what the arp should make with it (only 2 parameters per…

Sorry, Stormer, what do you mean by this? What is working that isn't otherwise? I mean the little pause when loading songs with lots of audiofiles (in my case 32 audioloops). With less loops there is no pause while playing.
