  • Pan setting for each Oscillator

Recently I've been experimenting with stereo synths. Currently I can create them using stereo single cycle waveform samples. Got me thinking that we could create interesting synths if we were just able to pan each oscillator separately.
I suppose most of the time you want them set in the middle but if you were going for something different, really cool sounds could be created! I'm imagining something like a single synth that is all square wave in the left channel and all saw in the right. If this is possible and not problematic for the Deluge I think it would have much creative potential!

  • Expansion of Iteration Dependence: select when notes DON'T play

The note probability and iteration dependence functions are one of my favourite features of the Deluge! Works wonders for adding human-like complexity unpredictability to loops.

The note probability section (turning select knob counter-clockwise) works brilliantly, I can't imagine this end being any better. I find Iteration dependence useful for making notes play occassionally, but not so much for making notes ocassionally NOT play. It would be great to be able to set notes to play more often than not in a controlled sense (as opposed to randomly with probability setting).

I have an idea for how this could exist on the Deluge. Perhaps dotted values like in the probability section could be added to iteration dependence to represent when a note will not be played. For example, 1 OF 3 with a dot would mean the note does not sound on the first iteration but does on the second and third. Basically just the opposite of how iteration dependence currently works. The dotted alternatives could be placed after each existing dependence option, or as a whole additional bunch after 8 OF 8.

I believe this would be a great expansion to this already amazing feature, for more control over when notes play (when you want it) without having to extend loop lengths. Let me know your thoughts and if there's any conceivable reason this idea couldn't or shouldn't exist.

Peace & love to the Deluge community!

  • Making muting/un-muting of Arranger tracks midi mappable

Being able to mute and un-mute arranger mode tracks with a button on an external midi controller would be a great feature for my desired performance workflow. Currently, you can very easily assign muting with tracks in song mode, which seems to be essentially the same thing just at a different level. However it does not work for arranger mode tracks. When I try assigning the muting of a track in song mode to be used in arranger mode, it transfers playback from arranger mode to song mode when the midi controller button is pressed, which to me is undesirable.

Hopefully this wouldn't be too tough to implement as a feature of the Deluge, and I hope other users recognise how nice this would be.

    Peace and much respect!!

  • Reverse Stutter

I'm imaging an additional mode for the stutter effect that works exactly like the existing one, except the captured audio is played in reverse. This would allow for easy and exciting spontaneous rewind sounds. Perhaps the stutter mode could be changeable in the settings menu, or through some kind of double gold knob click, like how other effect modes are changed.

Something I play with sometimes is using stutter in combination with suddenly turning reverse on in a kit track . There are cool possibilities with using this technique on the Deluge as it currently is, but it has limitations such as you can't turn reverse on or off while stuttering. Having the option to make the stutter sound reversed while a track or song is playing normally would be much easy to use and create better sounds. It would also add the possibility of reversed sounds for non-sample based synths.

Please upvote this discussion if you agree that this would be an awesome addition to the Deluge!

  • Allow negative values for user-assigned parameters via the gold knobs

Yes, I agree that this would be a good additional possibility. Is it currently possible to access negative values with a midi controller?
