  • Step automation view / automation drawing (track long envelope drawing).

Hold some button turn the track or song view into a parameter view per step.
Each step is a column of different height showing current selected parameter level for each step.
Step value can be entered per step or automation between 2 step created by holding 2 different step filling the space between with a gradiant of value.
Horizontal zoom level is active and can be changed.

In this view, each button of the audition column show and bring to a different parameter automated for this track.
The mute column turn on/off the respective parameter automation.

Tracks and song has their own automation view.

  • Sequence mangling tools in song view for live playing variations.

Song view is kind of under exploited imho.

Deluge could benefit of some straight forward way to make variations out of existing sequence right from the song view.

By that I mean some tools to allow on the fly:

    • Definition of start and end of loop region for each sequences.
    • Ability to change speed of sequence e.g.: /8, /4, /2, x2, x4, x4...
    • Ability to play forward/reverse
    • Define active steps / step jump of live pressed steps (in combination with zoom level would be AMAZING) like Korg Volca serie.

I made an other thread suggesting this but could only get a -1. Either I wasn't clear and someone didn't get what I meant or he or she is just against some kind of progress.

I heard that deluge focus was on live performance. These would fit very well in that perspective.

Any thought other than a simple -1 ?

  • Per sample track lenght in kit for polyrythmics in one page.

    Wouldn’t it be great?

  • Tempo divider or multiplier per track in song view.

I would see something like holding one or multiple track row while holding some other button would turn the 2 right column into a "time division selector". Normal tempo would be middle, x2, x4, x8 for the upper part, /2, /4, /8 for the lower part.
This would bring a lot of interesting variation.
I would even see a reverse on/off by pushing one of the 2 row showing a gradiant going up or down depending on the state.

  • Doubling of track length should works also in keyboard view.

It is currently impossible to double the length of a recording in keyboard view.

Also: bar cursor is currently only visible when record is activated (red pads going from left to right of upper row).
It should be visible also in play mode as a white pad.

  • Kit sound editor audition pad switches edited sound.

Would make much quicker the start and end zone adjustment of a whole kit for instance. Or for pitch.

As it is now, to edit a different sound of your kit, you need to exit the sound editor, audition an other pad, then enter sound editor.

  • Adjustable track start/end points.

    Please!!

  • Piano style layout for entering notes (in addition to the guitar style 4ths layout)

Are the 2 right columns assigned to anything in that view? If not, 1 could be for velocity level, the other for aftertouch or whatever.

  • Sequence/track playback direction options (like Fugue Machine)

    +1000 !!!

  • Kit track keyboard.

128 samples grid!!! That is opening a lot of possibilities.
    Please make this happen!!

Would be potentially intense on cpu, but with a bit of disciplin, just thinking of having a palette of sound of this dimension to play with is simply breathtaking.
