  • jumping easily inside the timeline (arranger mode)

It would be very helpful if it would be possible to jump easily inside the timeline. You still can jump but each time you must first switch from arrange mode to songview, then from songview to song playback-mode by pressing a launch pad and finally back to arrange mode where you can set a jump-target on the timeline. This is way too awkward, especial when live performing.

  • Arpeggiator additions

In the 80th my first program on the Atari ST Computer was an arpeggiator. And the easiest way I found out to get impressive arpeggios is a simple arp-editor. For each of the xx notes you define what the arp should make with it (only 2 parameters per note are neccessary - direction and transpose, maybe velocity). Save this as a preset and done. For me the classical up-down or up/down is boring and an always-random arpeggiator senseless. It would make more sense if with each press of a random buttom it would generate a 1 bar random-pattern and repeat this, instead of generating each bar a complete new one. And a controller-arpeggiator would be the perfect addon to the notes/velocity-arpeggiatpor!

  • MIDI assigment stored with sound-presets!??

The MIDI assignments are stored with the sound presets which makes absolutely no sense cause you have to assign them for each of the 99 presets new. So trying to work with an external MIDI-controller for sounddesign is impossible in this state of the firmware. Its common to store MIDI assigments globaly or at least with the song. Please change this with the next fw update!

I would also recommend to make each of the deap menu parameters assignable. Also saturation, synth mode and so on. The deap menu is a creativity killer. Having a faderbox nearby or a software editor is much more easier (and more common) for intuitiv sound design.

    Thanx! :)

  • gater

A gater would be a great feature. One track ist gating another.

  • Moving notes/chords instead of setting them at a new position

... By doing it this way you could take the velocity and length with. Its like a manual quantize. Makes much sense especially for chords where each note has an individual velocity (and maybe length) which gives a chord its unique character.

  • Deluge firmware V3.0.0 released

Still no global midi-cc's only the 7 remote commands. There are hundreds of midi-controler out there and there are coming more and more. For live, for studio, for sending sound commands to different synths, beatboxes and mixing tables, to create changes in the scenes. Synthstrom is ignoring all this – the midi-cc's in the Deluge are still song based! Ok, its possible to create a song template which is the source for all the following songs. That could work – as long as you don't change any sound, cause the learned midi-cc's are stored within the sound-xmls! Thats ridiculous. The midi-implementation in the Deluge has nearly nothing to do with the standard. It would be really helpful for all users who work with the Deluge in a complex setting, to give it a midi implementation that is standard since the early 80th. Otherwise this machine will have a very limited future.

  • 100+ top rated suggestions (2017-2019)

Missing Global Midi-Control Changes instead of Sound related Midi CCs. Lets call it Global Midilearning.

  • LOAD-NEXT-SONG button and four other suggestions

    this is the presumption.

    Its fact

  • When loading a song while playing ....

Found the answer. The "1" says that the Deluge is waiting for the next ONE before changing to the new song. Great idea! Maybe a "wait" would be clearer? But when it has loaded the song it still makes a gap of a second or so before it starts playing the new song.

  • Is this synth feature removed in FW 3.0 ? + off topic discussion

For me the message from Synthstrom is clear. Its not our goal to offer an instrument that works in a professional environment with high class midi-controler like LinnStrument, Novation Launch Control or Akai MIDImix. Instead we built a nice blinking box which you can take to the park for having fun in the sun.
