  • Suggestion #3: Pattern mutation

The ability to randomly generate a new pattern subtly (or wildly) different from the notes in a track to generate fresh ideas.
  • Solo drum voices?

I can mute say the kick but would be good to be able to solo voices in a midi channel too. (Solo'ing to be done in the same way as when you solo tracks.) Or have I missed something?

  • Nudge per MIDI channel (to combat individual device latency)

Hi - as per title I'm running a number of older machines (707, 727, TX81Z, etc), which are a little bit sluggish in processing MIDI and would really like a nudge on the Deluge at the MIDI channel level, rather than a global, as some machines are quicker than others at responding. I wouldn't want to slow down the more modern equipment commensurately.

Driving the Deluge from my 707 would kinda work but (a) this mean I can't store the MIDI notes in Deluge as I would have to store the patterns in the 707 and send a clock to the Deluge, and (b) I have other slow machines which would still suffer the same problem in a 707-led setup.

    Cheers!

  • V2.0 Arranger Mode indicator and toggle

I know it's a really trivial point in light of the excellent work put into V2.0, but can we have Arranger mode indicated by having the Song and Track buttons lit simultaneously (rather than a blinking Song mode light)? Jumping into Arrange mode could then either be triggered by simply pressing Song mode again (when in Song mode, as per Ian's demos) or by pressing the Song and Track buttons simultaneously? Either way the Song and Track buttons would be lit. Blinking buttons to me indicate a temporary state (as well as being a bit distracting!)

See, I said it was trivial. Cheers!

  • New Deluge manual / producer guide out now.

Excellent work guys, great to see the collab! Well done to all involved.

Hoping for a printed copy which opens right out and lays flat, like for example spiral bound rather than staples?

Yes, great news, thanks Ian, can't wait to dive in. As darenager says will it lay flat?

  • Deluge randomly freezes often enough that I expect it to at some point now.

    Ignore that!
