  • May 2021 Community Newsletter

I just want to give some cheers to the Lindstrom story im the May 21 newsletter!
In 2018 I stumbled upon this norwegian artist and bought his album "It’s Alright Between Us As It Is". I really love his creative new disco style and it's still one of my favourite albums. At that time I did not even know of the existence of Synthstrom audible and the Deluge. After having met Ian Iorgensen on the Superbooth 2019 I was so hooked that 1 month later I purchased a used Deluge (after convincing my whife that this would be a good invest ;) ). The May newsletter surprised with more insights about Lindstroms way of working and him being a Deluge user. That closes a loop in my little personal Deluge history without even having known before that there was a loop <3

  • Deluge is a great synth but development is too slow

I agree to your wishes for improvements of the FX section.
But I disagree to your general statement. I think synthstrom audible does an extraordinary job in fixing bugs and releasing new software versions. I bought my (used) deluge in June 2019 and it has received more than 5 firmware updates since then. I see do not see any other company taking care and releasing software that often.

    • sounds: discussed in this forum before. The boards of deluge sets are great.
    • features: permanent discussion in this forum. I prefer Synthstrom audible to focus one hardware and doing a good job here.
    • what if they do not want to be the #1 synth company in the world? We already have a big copycat B with loads of money in the market. We need small companies with unique products in the market. Synthstrom is a good example.
  • New Deluge manual / producer guide out now.

Wow, excellent work. The old manual reads like a steadily grown reference book and is hard to handle sometimes. The producers guide is super well explained in detail. It's more like "deluge for dummies". It definitely helps to avoid frustrations! Looking forward for my printed copy.

  • How to report a bug?

OK, thank you. I will send a mail to Ian.
