Midi Issues

So I'm finally getting to grips with the Deluge, but I can't seem to get it to receive midi notes. I can use a sequence to control an external synth via USB, but it doesn't work in keyboard mode. But no matter what I try I can't control the Deluge via USB/MIDI as a "synthesizer". I also tried controlling it with a Midi drum kit, but no luck. Any ideas?

Hi Byron! The keyboard mode problem is a known bug. It's going to be fixed asap. As for the USB/MIDI, it's unlikely that it's a bug. Do you mind walking me through how you're connecting it and setting it up?

Hi Sam, thanks for response. So I'm connecting my Deluge and OP-1 to my computer both via USB. Then in Midi OX I'm routing the input port from the deluge to the output port of my OP-1. This works perfectly, I see midi note data in Midi OX and my OP-1 triggers.

I then connect the input port of my op-1 to the output port of the deluge, and again I see the midi note data Midi OX but I'm not seeing/hearing anything come from the deluge. I presume the Deluge should be in Synth mode?
The OP-1 is sending data on Channel 1, and the midi activity indicator in Midi OX shows it's receiving the information from the op-1 on the input port as well as the output port of the deluge.

I've attached two screenshots, DelugeToOP1 is working perfectly, OP1ToDeluge I hear nothing.

    Thanks again for your help!

Hey Guys, I think I understand the source of the problem here (1) keyboard mode Deluge to OP1 - I guess that's the bug Sam is referring to; (2) controlling the Deluge with an external MIDI keyboard - you need to link the two together using the LEARN button and one of the Audition pads while in track mode. Hope this helps ;)

Thanks z1v! that was exactly it. I guess I missed it in the manual! Works perfectly except the OP-1 sends out maximum velocity so it's a whole lot louder than the Deluge buttons. But I can figure out a workaround.

Sam, I'm not sure how to mark this thread as answered? Must I as the OP, or is it an action to be taken by the moderator?
