A Second Reverb

Since 2.0 we have "30 - 50% or more improvement to CPU efficiency (i.e. more voices)."
Could we now have a second reverb?

  • one for tracks/master e.g. plate/small room
  • one for drums/samples e.g. large hall/chamber

    always in for more fx.

Yes more fx. The reverb is useful as is but since deluge is such a closed ecosystem it makes sense to improve the effects further. More reverbs and more delay options would be my #1.

    absolutely essential I would say!

,,,indeed, I was rather surprised at the limited FX structure - hopefully this will be developed soon?

Or just implement a render/bounce stem facility. That way Sythstrom can forget about FX upgrades forever as we can export our ideas to DAW for limitless FX options

Yeah, for my kind of music a second reverb is essential, too (at least a short one for drums and a big one for other stuff).

+1 For more reverb and delay options.

    Maybe a nice shimmer?

    The reverb needs a pre-delay.

A convolution reverb that can use Impluse Responses (IR) would be nice.

Does anybody know if there any way to make the reverb sound less metallic thru signal processing?

    Dampening helps a fair bit

A second reverb in the effect chain is such a waste of resources. A reverb is the most expensive effect you can have. Better make the one reverb more versatile and better sounding.

Personally I would love to see a convolution method replace what we have.

Check out this open source one.

Just add a bunch of good impulses to the standard deluge library and it will easily blow away what we have. Maybe add per track input filters though.

Not sure how cheaply you can really make them performance wise but why not shoot high?

For real though the internal Fx are not the deluge's strong suit. Best results usually include recording with external fx.

    Exactly my opinion

Impulse verb would be excellent as a second option.
Potentially processor expensive. Limiting a straight I/O file would help. -no stretching or anything

Or as first and only one!

Yes, pls. add a second reverb, I need it for mixing. Small reverb for drums and bass and Long one for synths. Also please add EQing for reverbs (and also as asked a width parameter for synth tracks).

A per clip reverb. Just like how delay works.

EQing would be great to get rid of the "metallic" ends.

Totally agree - FX is a key area which could stand to be addressed.
...and if there were a quick, simple way to sync the delay time to BPM - that would be really helpful IMHO

If you set Sync on Delay the Rate is scaled to BPM changes, I think...
