Its a bit annoying when you want to load a newly recorded sample in the browser but you have to go through all the pile of old samples first.

    imho this request is too narrow. i'd opt to do a new request or rephrase the current one. rather target general file browser optimizations, not just one particular use case. which is imho not that urgent as the last recorded sample is preselected if you assign a new sample (if you just recorded something).
    some ideas for a better file browser:

    • wrap around: for samples, as you explained (already works for presets and songs)
    • fast forward: skip 10 entries per turn (songs let u skip subsongs already).
    • should work for browsing samples, presets and songs
    • other ideas?
