External Synthesizer - Multisample Resampling

Connect your external synth via Midi and audio in to the Deluge ( or even for internal synth ) and the deluge records the output of the synthesizer per note and or per octave.

Its a function like the software samplerobot.

yeah, sampling external synths for using them in a portable setup is a cool use case.
though full samplerobot functionality wouldnt make sense as the 1/4 line input DAC is not stellar quality. a highend audiointerface with separate inputs for stereo sampling handles recording different sources better.

still, very cool if the new multisample feature would allow to create new multisample patches on the fly by recording external gear.

another way: if we had a transient slicer mode http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/634/transients-slicer-mode/p1
    1. on the external synth play note by note leaving some silence in between. record as one long sample
    2. slice up recording

+1 this would marry two of the Deluge's strengths very conveniently.
    - sequencing external gear
    - portable multi-velocity sampler (for playing without external gear)

MPC LIVE and MPC X now have this feature. It would be great to have it on Deluge.

This would be an awesome bit of functionality for the Deluge, especially since it is designed to work well as an all-in-one device. Get your patches ready on your VST or external gear, auto-multi-sample, and then you have that instrument with you wherever you go. No computer required (unless of course you are sampling a VST, but you get what I mean).

That would be an amazing feature. Especially since the deluge only has 2 oscillators. I would be great to “import” fatter synthesizers and capture it into smaller portable form factors

As far as I remember, someone in the forum has described in the last 1-2 months such a working method for the deluge. Sorry currently don't know where and who.

    It works pretty well.
