Send/Return loop for external effects

When not using the gate and CV outputs or maybe even the headphone jack, would it be possible to have a mode where those jacks become audio send/return FX loops for external gear? Then one of the custom buttons could be assigned to control the amount sent to the FX loop/loops. The option to have the FX loop before or after the internal FX and/or looper would be great. I've no idea if this is possible with a software update but I'd love to be able to use my external gear on individual tracks in the deluge.

not laughing at you, this request is an evergreen pops up every 2,3 month.
pretty confident in the collective brain of this forum 2 audio outs are a hardware limitation which will never change.
there is one stereo DAC https://www.cirrus.com/products/cs4270/

No worries and thanks for the links. I'll try to dig a bit deeper before posting next time
happy to help. actually i think multi audio out comes up so often, it is a strong case for a Deluge 2 hardware. just hope Synthstrom would be still able to support Deluge 1.
funny story: Roland had a sampler called SP808. they released a SP808ex with a bigger Zip drive and a new OS which sported a bunch of new effects and a synth. Roland claimed the ex OS is not compatible with the older hardware. AFAIK they still don't offer the ex OS for the older hardware on their support site.
Back then a hacker friend invested a day and was able to patch the ex OS to work with SP808. it was easy he said, i also easily replaced the Zip drive on my SP808 and turned it into an actual SP808ex which runs fine since then. Of course i dont know the reasons Roland had but smells like a marketing lie, pretty confident that sort of bullocks is not going to happen with the Deluge
For live yes I fully agree. But for the current Deluge it would be so great if you could be able to bounce all tracks as separate files like described here http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/comment/5777

If you could set the output to be "Headphone Only" for a specific track, maybe you could loop it that way. Monitor your stereo out while putting FX on the Headphone output and bring it right back in. Even if its janky, could get around the limited FX/EQing.
