resampling record trigger for slaved midi clock mode?

I propose we could have an option for those who are triggering midi start stop from other sources, so that we can have an exact resample of a loop when I press play on the transport of my daw for example. Also furthermore it would be very nice to be able to dial in how long we want it to be so we don't have to worry about timing it properly (1 bar, 2 bar, etc)

oh HELL YES .. I HAVE HAD BOTH OF THESE PROBLEMS MYSELF ' & it spoils my work flow having to try so many times to get the perfect loop when trigger midi start /stop points from an external unit .
