Nerfing the play/stop button

1

This might completely irrelevant to most other workflows, but I am doing completely improvised live sets which start from scratch, hitting start once in the beginning and then never stop during the set.
Having the record button (vital and frequently pressed ) in 5mm distance to the stop button (WORST button to press during the set) is of course nothing that could be changed.
But would it be possible to enable a "live mode" in the main menu where you have to double press the play button to stop, having to hold it for 2 sec or maybe shift and play?

what about placing a slightly taller plastic ring around the play button that requires you to press it differently.A different kind of press that uses the tip of the finger because the button is deeper in the hole. A short length of tubing cut to the right height maybe. Even something 3D printed and cosmetic like a rectangular plate that has PLAY printed on it and is again a thickness that requires you to press inside the hole to reach the button. A rectangle with a hole for the button at one end, could be black or coloured and there are 3D printers online that could do it easily and cheaply. You might even do it yourself with a drill and a bit of plastic.

Good idea, I was also thinking in that direction but did not want to glue anything in place (as the knob, like you know, is very small and can be pushed in almost completely) or otherwise damage the case.
But the 3D printing you mentioned spawned new ideas, like using the volume knob washer for fixation.
    So thank you :)
