Kit templates with external MIDI control not possible?

I am struggling to get this to work:

I built a kit with 16 sounds/lanes and each one has four parameters assigned to an external MIDI controller.

I also have a s**t ton of drum samples on my SD card organised as kits in folders which I would like to quickly load into the Deluge to make new kits.

So far so good but here is the problem: whichever way I go about it I am
1) either losing my external MIDI assignments or I have to
2) manually load each new sound into a lane (without the option to load "ALL").

Problem 2) is made worse as.the Deluge's file.manager.defaults to the location the currently loaded sample is in. That causes a huge amount of unnecessary menu diving to jump [crawl] between locations - pretty slow and mind-numbing.

Furthermore:
3) An empty KIT can't have MIDI assignments.
4) As soon as one sound is.loaded/assigned to a lane the option to.load ALL is not available ("can't").

Am I going about this the wrong way or is there a.need for a feature request?
