Timestretch anomaly

I put a long file in an audio clip, Deluge correctly calculated the tempo, then I decided to edit the file a bit shorter on my computer, I cut 8 bars off the beginning and 16 bars from the end. I loaded the new file in on a new project audio clip but now Deluge isn’t getting the tempo right and it sounds terrible, the file is exactly the same aside from being shorter, basically I had a section at the start without a beat and a fade at the end, all I did was cut these off in the computer, the file is exactly 137bpm still with exact number of bars, but Deluge thinks it is now 146.2bpm.

Any ideas?
