MIDI Keyboard Input Not Working?

I plugged a MIDI keyboard into my Deluge and I can see that it's sending MIDI note data on Channel 1 because the Deluge is sending it on through the MIDI Out where it is being received by another device. I can't seem to get a synth clip to play from the keyboard though - I hold down the "Learn" button a play a note but nothing happens. Am I missing something?
