Loading synths : ''default'' parameters?!

Is there a way to get the Volume/Pan button to be the one which is "active" when loading the synths presets? The Volume of every synths is always waaayyyyy up and you have to press the Volume button each time to turn it down... cause it's always the Cut/off which is active... thanks :)
