How do I trigger a track to play only once?

In song view, is it possible to cue/trigger a track to play through just once (and then bounce back to the previously playing track)?
i.e. I have 2 tracks for my bassline. Track A plays more-or-less constantly. Track B is an alternative pattern that I only want to trigger during transitions or accents. Currently, I have to cue up Track B... and then as soon as it starts playing, I have to cue Track A back up again to make sure it transitions back after the bar.
Another way to put this is "one-shot tracks"

There is no way to do this with an individual track, but there is for a section. Depending on what else you have going on, that may suit your needs.
Search the manual for "instruct the Deluge to play a section for a fixed number of repeats".
